New Wedgwood Museum Shortlisted for Award

The Wedgwood Museum has recently been shortlisted for the 2008 Brick Awards in the Best Public Building category.

As recently acknowledged on BBC News 24 Live Watch, the New Wedgwood Museum was handed over early in 2008 following an eighteen month base build construction phase.

The £10 million 'Wedgwood House of Treasures' scheduled for opening to the public during Autumn 2008 will house over 6,000 Wedgwood artefacts, 75,000 manuscripts and 680 pattern books.

The new museum is situated very close to the visitors centre on the Wedgwood Factory complex in Barlaston Stoke-on-Trent.
